About Us
Established in Nov 2004, Imperial Mercenaries, positions itself as an Oceanic raiding guild that is progression oriented. Comprised of like minded players, Imperial Mercenaries aims to provided a conducive raiding environment that ensures effectiveness through progression of content.
Objectives
Comprising mainly of working adults and individuals that have commitments outside the game, we take the time spent raiding seriously. We will not tolerate actions or behavior that is counter productive to our goals. We aim to ensure that the time spent raiding is productive and efficient.
Guild Structure
Guild Master: The Guild leader.
Advisors: Officers. They are the people who control the guild and raid. Any guild related idea or suggestion should be addressed toward the advisors.
Class Leaders: Senior guild members that are dedicated to the guild and have extensive knowledge at his/her class (general and raid). They have the ability to access the officer chat. The class leader will control his/her class members in raid and make sure they perform well. Any question or idea related to class specific duty should be directed towards the Class Leaders.
Core Raiders : Guild Members whose attendance are consistently above the 80% mark. These members are progression oriented and are expected to do the necessary to ensure guild progression. Core Raiders are Raiders that have committed extensive resources to assist the guild's progression needs.
Raiders: Guild Members whose attendance are below 80%. These members are expected to be ready to raid with the necessary resources when their schedules permit, to assist in guild progression. Raiders are members that have showed ability to function and perform at an optimal output in a raid setting.
Social Member: Guild Members that are unable to attend raids consistently. These members will not have any priority for raid invites, and selection to attend raids will be at the sole discretion of the raid leader / guild management.
Trial: Guild applicants that have recently joined the guild. Trial members are expected to possess the necessary attendance, attitude and skill level to allow selection as a permanent guild member. Membership will be reviewed after the duration of the trial by the officers and full status guild members. The applicant would either be awarded a permanent guild status or be discharged from the guild.
Any member that hasn't logged into their character for 1 month may be removed from the guild unless there is a legitimate reason.

General Rules
- Any members found guilty of committing acts that will tarnish the good name of Imperial Mercenaries will be removed from the guild.
- Any members found guilty of misusing guild property will be removed from the guild.
- IM is an end game raiding guild and will work towards end game progression.
- All members should feedback any doubts or problems encountered to their respective Class Leaders, in the even that the CLs are unable to resolve the issue, it must be brought up to higher authority.
- Any Quarrels or conflicts between members, CLs or advisors should be addressed to the next higher authority and the Guild Leader immediately.
- The guild will not tolerate any members using forms of threats or guild removal as a solution to any issues within the guild.
- Respect to the CLs and Advisors in the guild is a MUST.
- All strategies will be available in the Guild forum for reference, all raiders are to familiarize themselves with the material, and be totally clear with their class roles in the raids.
Raiding Rules
- All IM official raids will start on time, please move your characters to the venue of raid in advance; if you know that you will be late, it is advisable to park your character there in advance.
- On time DKP will be awarded for every raid. In the event that a raid is full, any raider that is online before the official raid time and is unable to get in, will be awarded full DKP as long as he stays online throughout the whole raid.
- Full Raid DKP will be awarded when a raid last for a full duration of 4 hrs. New boss attempts with a full duration raid will award half of that boss dkp.
- Use of Ventrilo is a MUST for all raids. Only the Advisors, Class leaders and Guild leader are to give out instructions during raids.
- Only Advisors and Guild leader can call for WIPES in any raid.
- Please wait for the Advisors and Guild leader to call for raid end before you start to leave the raid.
- For some encounters, participants might be asked to sit out, for other classes that are needed, for the benefit of the raid. Affected members will be awarded full DKP for staying online till the end of the encounter.
- During the raid, if any member, in the case of an emergency, needs to must go afk, is to inform the raid and put on follow mode.
- Alternates may be allowed if the MAINs are totally not needed in any certain raid.
- Alternates may be allowed if the MAIN does not require any loot in any raid instance.
- Alternates may be allowed when being called by to enter raid by the Guild Leader.
- Alternates are only allowed upon Guild Leader / Advisor approval.
- As Ventrilo is used as the primary tool of raid communication, it is important that the members understand and speak ENGLISH. Anything less than that will not be tolerated.
- Raiders will have priority over social members on getting invites to raid.
- The guild leader will have the final say over loots matter if there is any disputes on loots.
- All members must be equipped with the necessary raid consumables before the raid starts.
- Flasks and Elixirs to sustain at least a full 4hours or raiding. Oils / Health + Mana Pots + Food buffs
- Officers will perform a consumable check before each raid and will reserve the right to remove any unprepared raid member.
DKP
- Imperial Mercenaries adopts the DKP system.
- All members that are ontime will earn the same rate of DKP be it in raid or on waitlist / standby.
- Members that are asked to sitout will receive the same DKP values as members in raid, as long as they are online.
- A player that is not ontime will not receive any DKP on waitlist unless invited by the RL into the raid.
- A player that is on waitlist is expected to be ready to raid when called upon.
- DKP is earned via events, Ontime, First Fill,Boss Kill, Attempt, Full Raid.
- First Kill DKP awards double the normal DKP value for the raid's first successful attempt at an encounter.
- Attempt DKP awards half the normal DKP value for encounters that have not received a First Kill bonus.
- Item drops will have a DKP value attached, based on the source.
- Loot is distributed via Rank then DKP. Core Raiders > Raiders > Trials
- A successful bid will see the bidder's DKP deducted by the item's DKP value.
- Ontime DKP is awarded for members that are ontime BEFORE the start of the raid.
- Full raid DKP is awarded for members that are online, in raid or waitlist, throughout the full duration of the raid.

- GM/Advisors reserve the right to exercise Force Loot, to prevent wasteful rotting or to gear up a particular player that is required for progression.
- Alternates will be charged 1/3 of the DKP value for all loots.
- Any act of abuse in the DKP system will not be tolerated, Guild Leader and Advisors reserve the right to ignore the bid if deemed abusive.
